In the southern hemisphere the days (hours of daylight) have already begun to get longer. North of the equator, they are shortening...The solstice occurred about June 21st.

no they are getting shorter, by seven its all ready dark outside, where I live in Kali

Actually, the sun is setting earlier which means shorter days.  However, depending how bored you are your day could be longer to you than others :)

Summer Solstice happens in late June (21st or 22nd), which is the longest day of the year.  Technically, the days are already beginning to grow shorter as we head closer to autumn.
