Is it just me or are there so many earthquakes in the last years?

There are many earthquakes that happen every year.  Not all of them are reported.  2004 quake in Asia ring a bell?  2001 quake in Afghanistan say anything?  They can happen anywhere at anytime.

There's always earthquakes happening, it's probably just that you're paying more attention to it. Like when you see a car you like then suddenly see it everywhere you go.

News stations also go through phases of covering particular stories if those type of stories have had enough attention in the past.

There are earthquakes everyday > at least five of 2.5 and above. I dont think there are any more we just record them better

They are reported more now Hein-always happened but it's the 'Global Village' now- more have mobiles so report more as well - the world wide communication system!

The seismic activities are increasing day by day. Scientists are working hard to predict the earthquakes.But I am working in early warning systems. This system is helping me a lot to save the people.But even I proved that I have issued the warning 2 hours before Tsunami struck our coast seismologists have not yet come forward to understand the usages of my inventions.
