  1. yes, they are polite.

but it also lies in what u perceive!

  2. Asians are really polite, especially Japanese and Korean.

I myself am Chinese but I also think that Chinese people are somehow polite (in some way), too.

  3. why base his race on his personality. anybody can be polite. there is a white lady i work with who is just so happy and polite all the time

and there is also a black guy i work with who everybody just LOVES! so has nothing to do with race.

  4. No, ive known several for many years.   they only appear polite.  they are some of the most rude inconsiderate obnoxious persons i know.

  5. You have obviously never been to slough, England (i call it little india)

  6. That is a stereotype. Not all of them are polite. Not all of them are hard working people either. I was told that all through school from both teachers and parents just to put a guilt trip on me. I find that they're just like anybody else. Don't believe what the teachers tell you. Not all black people are lazy and disrespectful.

  7. They are very nice as they take over your job.

  8. yes i guess

  9. Asians are more disciplined, I've noticed. They're family has taught them to study hard, be on time, and always be super-polite.

And I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

  10. yes, we are very polite, but not ALL of us.

    where is he from?

  11. Most people of Asian decent (Japanese, Chinese, Filipino...), are raised from infancy to have respect for others and especially elders and or those in authority positions. This has nothing to do with whether or not they like someone personally. They will exhibit polite behavior because it is customary to their religion.(sorry. I meant customary to their traditions) Often they are raised among their aunts, uncles, grandparents etc..and must show respect to each. This trickles over into other aspects and relationships in their lives. Often these good manners are mistaken for weakness and many people will not reciprocate with similar politeness.

As a youth , I was taught this but never fully appreciated it until I became a mother. I found myself teaching my children that good manners were a reflection of their parents and they wouldn't want to bring shame upon our name by acting inappropriately. It is a source of pride and self-respect to behave politely. Being polite costs nothing and has tremendous value especially when dealing with people in business matters and so forth.

Too many of the youth today encroach upon the personal space of others because they lack respect for property and people.

If we all had respect for each other as human beings and treated each other accordingly ; we would have fewer arguments, fights, hurt feelings. Think of all of the young women/girls who gain bad reputations for acts they may or may not have committed simply because the young man had too little respect for her or himself by kissing and telling .
