  1. Yes, the media fell over backwards for Obama. Notice how they rarely mention his racial stumble "typical white person" or the slander of white working class people in PA and OH?

Also how he at first protected his "spiritual mentor" after the "garlic nose" Italian slur and the G-d damning of America speech.

If McCain had said even one of those things or was close friends with someone who did, the media wouldn't have let go.

  2. The media has been more negative towards obama then mccain.

you don't have to blame obama for being inspiring.

  3. The media hypes everyone in turn.  You need to remember how much love the media gave McCain back in 2000.

What folks forget is that the news in this country is a business.  They like to make things interesting.  So they will first spend two months telling you what is great about the latest candidate and then, when that candidate gets too strong, they will spend two months acting like the candidate can't tie a shoelace without major assistance.  If they can't find anything wrong, they will give media attention to books that they know aren't supported by the facts and talk about their shock that anyone would believe the dishonest material in that book about the candidate.

If the newsmedia had its way, every race would be recount close.  Every bill would be surrounded by major debate and controversy followed by a veto and a close vote on the veto over-ride (which preferably would fail by only one vote so that it could all be done over again and be a major issue in the next campaign).

The worst thing for the media is a landslide victory followed by an effective term in which proposals are put into law and actually work as intended.  That just doesn't get the ratings that the media folks want.

  4. Oh MY God!  Did you just come out of a cave?

  5. it is just you

  6. the answer is yes the media overhyped him...

But in Obama's defense the media overhypes everything.... Did you see the 24 hour news coverage of "cone-gate".

Also Obama's campaign actually has been pretty incredible.  He's raised more money than any candidate in history and he's done it without the support of extremely large donations from lobbyists no small feat and a first for our country.  He also beat in the primary one of the most well known political figures in our country the first woman with a chance to be president and wife of the most popular president of our generation.

  7. Yes.  They were once solidly in the Hillary camp until Obama started getting traction and they grew tired of her.  Then it was all Obama and Hillary was thrown under the bus.  Watch out Barack... new star on the block.. from Alaska..they may be looking for a fresher story line now..

  8. Fox news hates him...but yes, the media loves the story!  It's very sad that this is what we count on for fair and balanced news!

  9. Its just you.  McCain has run for president before...this is like the third go round.  Its not NEWS

  10. No Joe, it is all you. Obama knows what he is doing and he is in charge of the campaign that is 8 points in the lead.

  11. Hype is the only way to make Obama have any credibility. Its a shame for Barry that we only had to scratch a little at the spray paint to see what a pathetic candidate he was. Now, Biden...at least his arrogance preceded him!!!

I'm voting for McCain and Palin.

  12. Well, the conservatives will agree with you.... and the liberals will disagree.

Statistically, and I'm not sure where to find this statistic, apparently Obama is getting much better press coverage than McCain.  Well, there are companies out there that monitor this stuff.  The same was true with Kerry vs. Bush.

I really think the biased media reporting backfires at times.  The media pushes someone so much that eventually people get a little tired of all of it.

People are wanting NEWS... and getting a little tired of the constant "analysis" that is increasingly popular.  Ever notice how many articles start with "Analysis" ????  It's just another editorial.  And, based on statistics, it'll likely be against McCain.

In answer to your question... I think that the facts show that the media is "hyping up" Obama.  Even Hilary saw this.  They turned against her.

  13. no It's just you, right now Obama and the media are against each other, since Obama thinks , the media made this election unfair, so he does not want there help. but they just can't stay away from him

  14. The Obama campaign was great!  What we saw was a thrilling convention, full of surprises and wonderful speeches.  No, it was just a great occasion that was captured on tv and elsewhere.  We shall, perhaps never see the likes of it in the history of politics--- Toni D.

  15. Obama hyped himself up.

  16. Oh God yes, no way he should ever get close to the White House.

  17. Hype = advertising dollars.

    What hasn't been hyped up?
