Right now i don't have any boxing respect for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. I think he way overated because he hasn't fought any good boxers (except for only Carlos Molina which went 2 tie and then Carlos Molina got KO in the rematch) but he also fought this guy Guadalupe Arce that is 0-8.I don't I just don't like him. When is he going to fight someone good that ppl know?Do u think he's overated?do u like him as a boxer?

  1. I wouldn't say that young Chavez is overrated. I say this because he's really not getting the hype or credentials of someone like, Mayweather, De La Hoya, or Pavlik just to name a few. Though he is still undefeated, I don't hear many people bragging out him being all that great. If any, I hear many people talk about his competition being soft or unknown more than anything else.

  2. i think  julio cesar Chavez  Jr  is  OK  i like him as a boxer

  3. I wouldn't say that young Chavez is overrated. I like him because he is gutsy because he never had an amaetur career.  People say his competition being soft or unknown but that because his manager is handling him carefully. The more fights he has the more ring experience he is getting. It will take him a lot longer to become a superstar but he will eventually get just like his father.

  4. He is undefeated.  Moving up slowly.  Too slow of a move up however.  Fought a guy ranked in the top 100 for the first time his last fight.  He has had 37 fights.  You won't know if he is overrated until he fights top ten fighters.  I personally think this guy is the real deal.  He should fight top 50 guys for 3 fights and then fight for the championship.

  5. I would really like to see him face some better competition but he is being brought up so slow due to his lack of amateur experience. He shows some signs that he might be the real deal but won't know until he steps in the ring with legit fighters.

  6. He is young and he is being handled carefully.  You can look at any number of guys who first 15 - 20 fights were against club fights with VERY poor records.

He gets as much press as he does because his dad is a legend.

Am I impressed by his resume to this point?  not, really.  If he KOs one or two known boxers, then I might pay attention to him.  He simply has not been in the ring with anyone that would make me form an opinion as to how good he is.

  7. i dont think he's over rated he's a good fighter and gettin better but i dont think he's pay-per-view material yet and mostly all his fight are on PPV, he's definitly over hyped due to his name.

  8. He may be getting overhyped by the media and thats because of how great his father was but i wouldnt say he is overated he is a young fighter learning his trade and getting better as he does it, he has talent thats without doubt and if nutured in the right way he could go on to be a top class boxer, he isnt nowhere near yet as some of the media expect him to be just cause of his dad but he is one of the brightest prospects out there right now.
