median voter theory states that 2 party systems will naturally converge to the middle but come on! this is insane. other than their platforms on iraq, they hardly differ. abortion, education, g*y marriage. with biden and that alaskan ***** as vp's, they're basically on equal ground. does anybody stand for anything anymore?

  1. I think it's just you. After 8 years of Bush I now reject the notion that all Democrats and Republicans are identical.

Also if you listen to their rhetoric you will find differences on many issues. Perfect example is taxes.

    OBAMA/BIDEN '08!

  2. Good. The closer the candidates get to the center, the better. I'm tired of all this extremism.

However, they do differ on a lot more than just Iraq. See: the economy, healthcare, social security, Iran.

  3. Yeah, we have a pretty miserable choice this time around.

With McCain's pick for VP, the race just became interesting, but she's not going to be president, she's going to be second fiddle.  Socialist McCain will be calling all the shots.

I'm still voting for Baldwin if Ron Paul isn't on the ballot.

  4. Bingo!  You are absolutely correct.  About 95% of Americans support our 2-party system.  Me?  I vote Libertarian.  People like myself and you represent the remaining 5% of Americans.  I can't believe there are people who believe that Obama represents change.  How gullible can people be?  It's very, very sad.

  5. If you can stand on your own two feet, well what do you stand for? I think you need to answer that for yourself?
