Is it just me or is it hard to get good friendly service?

Question

at fast food restrauants. I know they don't make the best money but come on. They absolutley can't make change if the register doesn't tell them. If they make a mistake, OMG. They act like they are pissed off because they are there. You can go in and there are 10 people working, well standing around. The place is a mess with trash and no clean tables. Where is the manager. He probably doesn't care either. It doesn't seem to matter which one you go to either...Has anyone else had this problem? This would be a good business for someone to start. Train some of these people.......please. PS. It's not just fast food sometimes.

I've worked in a McDonald many years ago when I was a teen. Our McDo was quite good, and when I go to McDo now in other places I also realize it's often a mess!

But one thing you can do (and this is good for anywhere you go in your life) is to smile and look at the person in the eyes, and be real polite, even they are not. People are *really* affected by how you approach them. Try it, and you will realize people will change their attitude immediately and give you better service for it, even sometimes, astounding service :)

its true that customer service is bad i have had good and bad experiences being a consumer for all instances......alot of things can go wrong with your order fast food or not and all i have to say is if you have to complain do it on another occasion call the restaurant at a later time is usually best  but i highly don't reccomend saying it then and there unless you want a lil something special in your meal  its gross but true i've been told.

If someone over 18 works at a fast food place and has no plans for the future, they're there for a reason. Obviously they care little about the kind of jobs they have, unless of course working at a fast food restaurant is really what they want to be doing. I often have bad service at fast food places. I went to back yard burger the other day and the food I got was so poorly constructed that I wrote the company and I don't ever expect to visit that chain again.

i like to know why there are so many rude customers. i work in retail and customers come in their yelling and screaming at you like your a dog just because they had a bad day. if you treat somebody with respect they will treat you with respect too.
