i'm watching the daughter of a friend of mine and while being a total sweetie this girl's shrill cry (she's not crying, its more of a high pitched wail that she does for attention) is driving me up a wall. i have my own son and he's got a whine that drives me nuts too, but thankfully he doesn't do it often. is it just me or do some children have a cry that is more annoying than others? or is the cry of all kids equally as annoying and i can't see it because i'm just used to my own son?

  1. Some children do have a more annoying cry than others.

I work at a one hour photo place that's inside a grocery store ... so I hear kids cry all the time :)

  2. I have three younger siblings, and yes some are more annoying than others. I would say that my little sister is the most annoying!

  3. O yea no matter how cute they maybe, you get a mins of that it no longer becomes cute just annoying, thats for most kids.

  4. I don't recommend you watch other people's children if you feel this way to put a post about it.  Think about it- ever see a baby not able to cry-  the silence is worse than the baby with a shrill.  Those babies do exist. Thank God that babies cry that means they are able to communicate and are well babies.

Some babies have hypotonia and can't cry and develop late and have life long problems.

  6. YES...there are definitely some babies cries that will set my teeth on edge...my niece had a cry when she was little that would literally give me a headache behind my right eye...LOL..Thank-Goodness she outgrew it...some are downright piercing and annoying and then some are sweet and cute (for a minute, wait maybe a second)...LOL...Good Question

  7. It is supposed to be that way - a survival thing.
