or has arod not come through at all in key situations this year? I mean we are paying 27 and a half million dollars every year for a guy who never comes through in the clutch?

No...I agree with you.

I was very unhappy that he re-signed with the Yankees....because as a lifelong Red Sox fan....he was always hurting us.

But, he has been less than stellar this year.

Its not just you. A-rod never seems able to come through in the clutch. Just look at his post season numbers. Since the 2004 ALCS, he has come up to bat with 38 runners on base. He left every single one of them on base (0-27). He is a great hitter, but not necessarily when it matters.
