Is it just my imagination or was there a spark?

I've had a crush on this guy for a while....over the course of the past few weeks, he has mentioned to me that he wants someone who is a lot like me without actually coming out and saying it. Am I wasting my time or is he as painfully shy as I am and maybe even considering being more than just friends with me? There's more to the story but I really just don't know what to do.

well...for now pay more attention, see if you can grasp any more hints. sounds like hes interested though. guys usually don't waist time with girls they don't care about.

Well you should say something back like well if you are interested you should ask.  Or if you dont want to be so direct, just compliment him in kind by saying something like and a man like you is what most women are looking for.  If he still doesnt have the cojones to ask you out forget his wimpy @zz.

well, to get the straightest answer means you should directly tell and ask him... well it's not easy I know but may be you could try a passive yet more advanced step like tell him actually that you really like him...

but if that is too hard... I suggest just spend more time with him and eventually, you'll know. Just like the movies. They don't talk about it but when they spend more time together there are those stares and smiles and then before you know it he's holding/squeezing your hand...

Sounds like he likes you.  Pay attention to his body language and eye contact.  Make eye contact with him.  Flirt a little, but not too much.  He'll probably ask you out soon.
