Question:

Is it just sore muscles?

I'm just curious. I recently started running again, and after a day, my legs (quads, specifically) are sore. But here's the catch. It feels really tight and I can barely walk and sit, let alone run. Like when I try to get up from a sitting position, even though I use my hands for support, I can barely get up; it hurts.

  1. the legs equate in pain to which direction should I take

you have been given the interest in running to get you back to Health - but as in all things slowly does it

walk before you can run my Friend

the interest in running is also given to get you back in touch with your lungs and the deep breaths you must take to gain excellent health

so big breaths whilst you walk

and try to figure out which direction you need to take and when you have figured out the right one your pain will go!!

    blessings to you

  2.    proper warm up and cool down periods should be necessary...

do regular stretching exercises for your leg especially for your calf and thigh muscles... take high calcium diet....

    1.warm up period:

       stretching exercise

       regular warming up

    2.running and then,

    3.cool down period:

       deep relaxed breathing

       rest

icing to the legs... try it..

  3. It's most likely just sore muscles. After you work out put ice on your muscles, and maybe that will help cut down on the sore feeling.
