  1. no its not thank god just a helmet,  use common sense


  2. It's not the law but if the police see you riding in shorts, t-shirt , sandals etc they may pull you over and give you a safety lecture. You should do as much as you can to protect yourself in the event of an accident so proper clothing is advised. You don't want gravel rash, believe me.

  3. No, just a helmet, but you should wear full gear anyway.

  4. No, only the helmet is mandatory, if you are stopped riding in full protective gear there is more chance of the copper using his/her discretion in your favour than if you are wearing a pair of trainers and jeans.
