  1. government formed 4 years back only on the support of left.

support was extended conditionally to adhere to common minimum programme.

when nuke deal is not in common minimum programme agreed between manmohan govt & left, the govt should have taken the left in to confidence.

it is not the subject whether the nuke deal is good or not. when the left disagree manmohan govt ought not have proceeded further.

in the eyes of left it is betrayol of trust.

withdrawing support from the left angle is justified and correct

  2. When in coalition politics, there should be a consensus for the majority in the coalition to take a decision on any issue. The Left MPs were just about sixty out of the 270 plus UPA MPs who were out of sync for the N-deal. The Left MPs were not willing to be convinced on the nuclear deal. They see so many holes in it and have been criticising SP for taking advice of the former President Dr. Abdul Kalam. The Left think that they are more intelligent than him as he is not qualified to advice on this subject. The left actually betrayed the govt. and broke away at a crucial juncture.

  3. No
