We are 3 adults and 3 children planning a trip. Since gas is so high and only one auto can 2 childern be buckled in the same seat belt. They are small but over the weight and height limit for a car seat.

  1. Highly illegal and very unsafe

  2. uh no!! Everyone must have their own saftey-restraint!!! If you were to get in an accident the two who were belted together would be seriously hurt. Gas is expensive but a life is even more precious.

  3. No.

NEVER EVER EVER have more people in the car than you have seatbelts...one for each occupant. NEVER put 2 people under one belt...regardless of age or size.

If your car does not have 6 seatbelts, then you need to find or rent a vehicle that does.

  4. NO WAY--how could you even consider this??

  5. NO this is illegal plus this is a dangerous practice and is not recommended.

Safety belts are designed for one person only.

  6. no

  7. Why would the two kids share?  I say, let one of the adults

ride without a seat belt if they want.  They are old enough to decide, the children aren't.
