It's from a Renaissance fair. Legally, they can only sell it to 18+, but those grisly blacksmiths said that as long as they handed it to an 18+, it wasn't their problem if it fell into my hands. I'm not really sure what the specific laws are on carrying weaponry, can I get some clarification please? It's a 12" hilt to tip dirk, 7" blade, sharp, and can be easily sheathed.

  3. Without knowing what state you are in, we can not supply a truly informed answer.

I am part of the Society for Creative Anachronism and as such many of our youth carry live steel. We teach them that these are tools and not toys. Whenever we draw our blades, we announce "CLEAR" so that those around us will know that there is Live Steel.

If any adult sees a child misbehaving with Live Steel, I can assure you that that childs parent will SOON know about it. We all tend to parent each others children in basic manners and etiquette.

If you provide us with your state, we might be able to assist you further in answering this question.
