Is it legal for a minor to transport alcohol in a closed container in their carry-on baggage?

I am 20 and riding an Amtrak train from Los Angeles to San Diego this weekend and I want to know if I'll be alright packing some beers in my carry-on luggage. Does Amtrak screen carry-on baggage on the west coast? If so, and the alcohol is found in my stuff, could I be cited for anything?

  2. No, it is illegal to possess alcohol if you're not 21.  

    You could be cited, but probably they would just remove the alcohol.
