I rented a trailer and did not have any clue that there was black mold. I have been feeling ill and tired and my neighbor is the one who told me that others had moved out because of the mold but the landlord did not tell me there was black mold.

  1. Yes, it is failure to fully disclose potentially life threatening conditions. Your landlord will have to pay for the doctor's bills or provide proof that they told you about the mold.

  2. Illegal, that is violation of the tenant law!

  3. I think that it will vary by state. You'll have to do some research to find out what your landlord is required to do and how fast he has to do it.

Try contacting the county court house or local police (non emergency number!) to get information about landlord tenant laws in your city/state so you know what to expect.

  4. No.  The rental space has to be safe or "habitable" for living in.  You should contact your local authorities.

  5. Hello, please please please tell your doctors you need anti fungal medication asap!!!!!!!! Even after you move out you will continue to grow more ill if you dont. Yes your landlord is liable. But you need to get out immediately as trust me, its an emergency!!
