Is it legal for a school to let you practice taking blood on each other?

Im going to a school for medical assistant and they let you practice taking blood on each other. Im wondering if this is legal for the school to allow. Thanks for your answers!

For a high school, absolutely not.

For general college, maybe.

For school specifically to learn to be a medical assistant, probably, but I'm no lawyer.

This doesn't sound safe to me personally, i would definitely check with authority first, if people are not careful with things like this it could lead to spread of disease or accidents, so i would just check if it is legal and whether the right safety measures and precautions are in place before getting involved.

Interesting, I wouldn't be surprise if it was legal... but still it's a little odd.

yea our school does the same. as long as your instructor is certified its fine

Sure, if it is done under supervision.  Not only will you know how to do it, but you will be more compassionate about your patients' pain as well.
