Is it legal for a wireless co. to charge for 3G service even if they don't offer 3G in your town?

  1. Are you talking about the increase in Data price on the iphone 3g Vs the original iphone?

    If so, yes it is legal, the plan that you sign is a nationwide plan, although there might not be 3g coverage in your area, since the plan is nationwide, that allows them the freedom to charge extra.

    If it was a regional plan (like they use to offer where coverage was limited to your state or parts of your state) and there was no 3g coverage in your region, then they could not charge extra
