Is it legal if I register an account for shopping under 18?

I opened a prepaid debit card and I plan on using it on online shopping, but some places require me to be 18 years or older. Will I get caught if I put in a fake age, because when I registered my account, I put in my real age as under 18. Do online companies have ways to search my age through my credit card or is it my privacy?
