  2. Your question is reproduced below to preserve the original fact pattern to which this answer applies:

"Is it legal if.....?? My boyfriend is 18 and I am 16 (in the state of Florida)?"

I assume you mean is it legal for you and your boyfriend to engage in sexual relations.  And the quick answer to your question is "Yes."

Basically there is no law in Florida that makes sexual relations  between you and your boyfriend illegal-- that is as long as your boyfriend isn't also a close blood relative or an institutional or domestic custodian of you.  Of course, there are also no laws that make your non-sexual association with him illegal either.

Here's an excerpt from the first website listed below:

[BEGIN EXCERPT] The age of consent in Florida is 18, but close in age exemptions exist. By law, the exception permits an adult under the age of 24 to engage in legal sexual activity with a minor no younger than the age of 16.

794.05 Unlawful sexual activity with certain minors.-- (1) A person 24 years of age or older who engages in sexual activity with a person 16 or 17 years of age commits a felony of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084. As used in this section, "sexual activity" means oral, anal, or vaginal penetration by, or union with, the sexual organ of another; however, sexual activity does not include an act done for a bona fide medical purpose Florida code, Title XLVI, Chapter 794. [END EXCERPT]

Remember, this doesn't apply to people who care for you in an institutional or domestic capacity.  They would have to wait until you were 18 before they could have legal sexual relations with you.

And please remember to select a Best Answer since the other completely incorrect answer offered so far could be voted as a "Best Answer" through vote manipulation despite the poor quality of the answer.
