My boyfriend and I went to see a condo and the whole time, the agent just stood outside near the front door. We were inside for about 10 mins and not once did she step inside or say one word to us. Later, as we started driving home, we noticed fleas all over us!!! Now they're in our car and our home. I phoned the agent and she denied that she had any prior knowledge of the infestation. My question is can we hold the company or the owner liable for costs of getting rid of the fleas in our car and home? Also, what's the best way to get rid of them???

  1. No.  You can't hold anyone responsible for your costs of eliminating these little pests.  It's possible that the agent had been there previously and was allergic to whatever was inside.

Meanwhile, you can rid yourself of the fleas by purchasing some inexpensive 'bombs' which you can release in the house.  You simply close up the house, set off the aerosol 'bombs', and leave for a couple of hours.  Same goes for the car.  The fleas are dead afterward.

  2. I've located a nice list of property management services in California. I'd recommend calling one of them to see if you can get your questions resolved by a personal with actual experience. http://www.propertymanagementvacationren...
