Tomorrow my mom is going to take me up to my school to return my books, but i just wanted to know if its legal for my mom to actually homeschool me in PA. I mean do we have to fill out any paper work, or anything? Or do we just tell the school that im getting homeschooled, and thats all?

I mean, it shouldnt be all that hard should it?

I need serious answers here :]

thank you !

  1. Check out http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?St... .

Your mother needs to submit a notarized affidavit to the local superintendent. The school may have this or may be able to tell you where to go to fill out this form.

  2. Yes, it's legal in all 50 states.  You do have to submit a form and follow the regulations, but it's perfectly legal.

I'm sure your mom has figured out all the legalities - good luck with homeschool!  I'm sure you'll love it - we do!

  3. Homeschooling is legal in every state...

Some just have pacific guide lines and codes one must follow...But all are legal !!!

check out school of tomarrow...christian based cirriculum....but has all subjects.........needed..

you can learn faster and at your own pace..and you will learn more and better and retain the knowledge better........

its great and its no stress....and no pressures.........

Be confident........you can make it work......!! good Luck

  4. yes it is legal. Trust your mom, she knows what she is doing. If you would like to brush up on the legalities, check out hslda.org. they have a listing of homeschool laws by state.

But may I reiterate, trust your mom.
