It is noisy(drip drip drip), rusty, and disgusting.

I am moving, and I am worried the apartment will try to diminish my

deposit refund for the rust in the tub, shower tile and moldy grout

problem.

  1. you have a fir down unit the drain is clogged and maybe the evap coil is clogged they are not designed to drain in the tub they need to fix it did you report the problem ?

  2. That drain line may NOT be your main drain and is a secondary drain. This will drip when the main pan is full.  I did this to a sink in a commercial building to tell me when the main is clogged.  Call your Super and let him know...

  3. No, it is not "legal". It should be run to the outside of the building.

  4. No

I work in apt. maintenance and this is common if they neglect the pan.  Make an attempt to clean your tub, bleach works the best.  Buy some Clorox bleach and go to town.

  5. No, you need to report it to them ASAP, explain the problem so they won't try to charge you for it.
