  1. No it is not legal, you will be ticketed and your car will be taken off the road because it would fail a safety inspection.  You would have to pay the towing charges as well.


  2. No, but you might get shot or something.

    I know this isn't the same thing, but... Some car with no headlights fired a shot at another car with headlights going in the opposite direction a few months ago, apparently it was because the car with lights flashed the lights to let the car without lights know that they didn't have lights, but that apparently provoked someone in the car with no lights to shoot someone in the car with lights.

    I wouldn't advise you to do it unless you have a very good reason for it. Especially since it would make the lights dark.
