  1. Once the rubbish is on the pavement it belongs to the Council.

  2. It can be considered stealing mate. Recent story in paper had a guy that worked in a council tip and saw a pipe or tubing that he could make use of and lost his job over it. He was told it was theft and the polic could be involved. Weird i know since we now live in a recycle mad world when a guy can find a good use for something.

  3. Probably alright so long as ya don't get seen by anyone dude!....

  4. Thats made, if someone can make use of rubbish, why not.

  5. no it isn,t my Son got done for : theft by finding : because he picked an old radio up.the rubbish belongs to the council .God i hate this government

  6. Not Legal : Council Workers can be disciplined and can even

prosecuted for taking things " unless they can prove that it was offered or given to them "

So if someone grasses you up you could be in trouble !

  7. no it is not.even though its rubbish its still someones property, and if you take it you could be prosecuted for theft by finding or worse if a burglary as occured and the stuff has been disposed of.you have to have the permission from the land owner where the tip or skips are or as is more usual, the local council run ones.be warned.another mans rubbish is ?.

  8. it is an offence contrary to the theft act for which you can be arrested and charged. If this happens you will if found guilty have a criminal record for the rest of your life. The councils that own tips own the property and take a very dim view of any person removing goods from them. A lot of councils have for many years been sorting and selling off goods themselves to scrap merchants, second hand dealers and registered market trader/car booters so to take goods is to take potential revenue from the council or whoever owns the land or site. The police will always take a dim view of this also and pleading ignorant in this sort of scenario is usually futile. You can also get nasty disease's from tips especially if handling garden waste it will make you quite ill a few days later and last for abuot ten days and make you very weak with an extremely bad dry cough and respiratory problems.

  9. ask some one first, they will more than likely give the item to you

  10. I would say not right but I don't think it is illegal either. As long as you don't take rubbish for fly tipping or ask for permission they wouldn't mind too much.

  11. It`s illegal as it becomes the property of the council who take responsibility for it. but what the heck who cares who has the rubbish.

  12. The same way as it would be legal or not, for me to take things lying around your property.
