Is it legal to ask a realtor for a kickback to gain your business?

What I mean is.. Is it okay to ask for a portion of there commission? If you agree to use them as an agent?

  1. In general the word kickback and legal do not go together


  2. It is legal to negotiate the commission, it is not legal to lie about the amount of it.

  4. The word kickback means that someone is paying money to someone else in an illegal way.

    That may not be what you mean.

    Can you be a little more specific?

    For instance it would be OK if a Realtor paid a fee to be in your marketing group.  That happens all the time with franchises, and referral networks.
