Trade in ivory is banned under the wildlife conservation charter. Possession is enough for you to be prosecuted by custom officials. So no ivory products.

the only time you can bring ivory into the usa is if you can PROVE it is fossil ivory such as from an extinc mastodon... very difficult otherwise you cant bring ivory from anywhere into the usa

Absolutely not. You shall be severely fined & your ivory stuff will be seized in the US. But, I don't think you can get through the Vietnamese customs to begin with (unless you shamelessly bribe them, of course !).

It's just not worth the trouble.
