  1. It isnt illegal to call 911 but there clearly is no point to call a 911 station that is local because they can't do anything about a patient in a foreign state!

  2. I don't really know about the whole television stuff, but one time, a long time ago, I was chatting to a friend in Canada. I thought I'd mess around with him and said "Omg, I hear tapping noises outside the door. There's somebody there!!" and I started freaking out. And of course my internet had to s***w up right then and there. About 15-30 mins. later, the police called my house to see if everything was okay. Turns out my friend in Canada thought I was getting attacked and must've called 911 or something.

  3. You can call 9-1-1 but the problem is the call will go to your local 911 center.

  4. 1.  Yes, it's legal...BUT:

    2.  "Even though you saw that person on Television"?  THAT part of the question probably bears more explaination BEFORE you call 911.

The best answer:  If you know the address, go on google and search for the police or sheriff's department for that city/area.  Call their non-emergency number listed on their website instead of 911.

If it's on TV, it's probably a good bet its not an emergency.

  5. you can call 911. your 911 center can call the correct agency for you. I had a couple friends online do it when another friend was having a heart attack. that saved her life!!
