  1. trains with a club car or a bar car allow a drink or two--your own?? I wouldn't try it!!!

  2. h**l ya you can dont tell eney one but most of the time some of the crew even drinks some

  3. rdenig_male gave you good data for the UK...

Here on Caltrain and ACE (commuter lines) and on Amtrak California, you can drink as long as you are discreet, clean, and don't become intoxicated.

  4. I guess you can consume alcohol on the train. In NY-CT's Metro North trains...they have a bar car that sells alcohol and I see people drinking on the train. They do ask for id...i actually think minors aren't suppose to be in the bar car during the afternoon which is the only time they sell alcohol.

  5. There is no byelaw forbidding the consumption of alcohol on trains in the UK OTHER than football specials (for obvious reasons). Loads of people take cans of lager on trains - and, of course, trains with buffet cars always sell alcohol - but it's much cheaper to take it on with you rather than buy onboard.

  6. Carry-on snacks, maybe.

    carry-on drinks, I wouldn't.

  7. Not if you're a member of the crew.
