Is it legal to copy pictures from another website to another?

The company I work for is starting a website, and they don't have photos of the construction work that they did, but other companies do. If I use their pictures on our website is it illegal? It is our construction work after all. Thanks.

  1. Who took the pictures? Can you prove it?

    The person who took the pictures owns them, unless they were purchased from the photographer by the company whos website they are on.


  2. Usually photos will be copyright protected.

    u cant copy the photos.

    So if the photos are not Copyright protected u can copy to another site

  3. It depends whether it has copyright or not. May be you can seek advice from legal before you start in case there's legal action in another day
