Is it legal to download,or can I download music from a bought CD to my computer?

I see that a lot of people have music on my schools website. How do I do this? I have music on my yahoomusic list, can I add this to my personal site. I'm not trying to sell any music just add itt to my site.

I figure that I should be able to listen to the music in my car and my house, so I'll let myself copy it once - regardless of the end use.

If you make that music available to other people, whether for personal gain or not, it's illegal.

I know it's f%^ed up and you can argue 'til you're blue in the face that you can play the music to them from your CD legally, but that's how it is.

You can also be prosecuted if downloading music on P2P (peer to peer) programs like Limewire because you are uploading what you are downloading at the same time to other people.

Your school probably needs to get it's legal s*£t in order if the kids are using it for sharing music tracks.
