is it legal to drink alcohol on the streets and on Public transport in the UK (most specific, in Manchester)??

  1. no its illegal...i did for years when I was really young (not anymore)

    and the police don't do anything except warn you unless you are drunk and disordely

    but public transport...erm bus drivers can kick you off and I supose other transport

    erm this is round bout the newcastle area but im sure manchester will be the same

  2. No it is illegal, as the other guy said, if you are lucky they will take it off you and pour it out, if you are unlucky you will get fined.

  3. No its illegal, Tryed befor if you get caught worse I got done to me is they took it of me.

  4. It actually depends. Local authorities get to make the call. Most places have a ban on it, but Edinburgh doesn't, for example.

  5. it depends, you can drink on trains but its mostly frownd upon if you do it on a bus. and as for drinking in the street it depends what day of the year it is. you can drink on the streets at hogmany, and in parks if its a bbq area.
