Question:

Is it legal to drive around with uncovered safari lights in California?

I'm buying a bull bar for my SUV and intend to get a nice pair of PIAA lights. Most trucks/SUVs I've seen with safari lights have covers over the lights. Is it illegal to drive on the streets with them uncovered?

I am in California. I've searched, but cannot find any literature. Thank you!

    you can get much information in this website, If you will check anyone blue link in website.

  2. You have to turn those off when driving

  3. California Vehicle Code section 24411 provides that, "whenever the vehicle is operated or driven upon a highway, [the auxiliary lamps] shall be covered or hooded with an opaque hood or cover, and turned off."

    */End of Line.

  4. You can only have them turned on if they are wired into the main beam headlights.

    Those who have them covered are either posers or are protecting them from stones.

    Additional.

    So in California you can fit them but not use them on the road. Well what's the use of buying and fitting  them, another typical stupid Government decision
