  1. if you are able to do 4 years of work in 1 year go for it, but you are required by law to be in school until you are 18 (i think) or you might just be required to finnish high school.  i think it is possible because there are many stories of like 10 year olds graduating from college.

  2. Yes, it is legal. I live in Florida and am homeschooled and you could finish how many grades you want in one year. But if you want a diploma than you have to take the FCAT every year and they don't allow you taking more than one grade FCAT in one year.

  3. it's according to your states compulsory attendance laws.

Some states laws make it mandatory for kids to attend school till they are 16. I don't think you can do it in one year, but some homeschoolers do finish high school and go to college at 16.

  4. only in the deep south...

  5. You don't have to go to school until you are 18, at least not where I live. I graduated when I was 17.

There may be no law against graduating in one year, but I personally think it would be very unwise to do that. I may even go as far as to call it stupid. If you happen to be homeschooling a brilliant child who is actually capable of graduating that quickly, homeschool is likely not your best option anyway, as it would be nearly impossible to provide him with a challenging education.

  6. It is legal as long as you finish all of the requirements for graduation. In California, we must finish all A-G requirements.

Those requirements require us to have:

    1) 4 years of English

    2) 2 years of World Language

    3) 3 years of History

    4) 2 years of Electives

    5) 2 years of Math

    6) 2 years of Science

    7) 2 years of P.E.

But Florida may be different. You should talk about this with your school or the school board. They may be able to give you more specific information.

  7. Abolutely Yes!

But do you really think your can do 4 years of work in 1 year ??

  8. According to this:

    http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?St...

The compulsory school requirements in Florida end at age 16.  So it sounds like it would be fine to finish in 1 year as long as you are 16 when you graduate.

    Hope that helps!

  9. If your smart. I am able to finish so much homework in little time, and since you have so much time in the day to work with, it helps. It is about earning the credits, not passing through grade levels. We aren't in gradeschool anymore, think of it like earning the right amount of money to get out of debt.

    Just make money balla. xD

  10. Yes it is legal, just as long as you get all of your credits needed to graduate.

  11. I live in Texas and homeschooling is considered a private school. By law there no set amount of days a year or set amount of time a day that you have to be in school. You can homeschool at your own pace and if your parents feel that you meet the standard of a graduate then yes you can. Private schoolers are also not required to test but can if they choose to. Private school also does not have to take accredited classes or do accredited work and it does not have to be approved by anyone. Like I said I live in Texas though. If you will search online you should be able to find a homeschool support group in your area that will gladly help you get all your answers for your state. Most homeschoolers love to help people get out of the public school system. I plan to start homeschooling my kids soon. Good luck with it and if you need me to help you research anything just let me know,my e-mail is sbourland@excite.com I am not sure if I am supposed to put that there but I will find out.
