Is it legal to get both your last object ball and the 8-ball in on the last shot as long as you call it?

In a game of 8-ball, I cut my last object ball in and the cue ball then ricocheted and knocked the 8-ball in. I called both parts of the shot. Do I win or is this an illegal shot?

in eight ball that would be a loss but in nine ball you would win(except to win its the nine ball not eight that wins game)

No, the shot on the 8 ball has to be a separate shot for it to be legal.  In the situation you describe you actually lost because you pocketed the 8 without it being a separate called shot.

Nope. That is not a legal shot on the 8 ball.  You can combination the 8 but it must be the object ball and be struck first in the combination.

This is an illegal shot whether you call it or not and it always has been in my 20 years experience

No it is a loss of game.  The 8 ball always has to be the last shot and a separate shot and so if it goes in the pocket off another ball you loss the game.
