im a 3rd year apprentice, nearly 4th year. i do everything!! i work with a senior apprentice in the back of a retail store. The senior just quit. now im taking on a massive job of running the salon. not to mention im taking all the seniors clientelle as well as my own.

im stressing out so much over this. i go home and just cry. i know my boss will hire someone soon.. but god knows when that will be.. and if they work out.

is it legal for me to be working in a salon on my own without any help by a senior hairdresser???

it doesnt feel right that i have to stress over this! Is this even legal???

  1. Sorry kinda new to these answers and here in the states the laws are different.  My aunt is a hairdresser and has been for many years and yet this situation to me however seems legal, but it doesn't seem fair in the workforce.  Seems like you are the only one running the hair salon right now and usually if they hire someone new you would become the senior for being there for so many years unless they hire someone with more expirence.  You should talk to your boss about the whole situation and tell him that you feel you are being overloaded with work and find out what exactally is going on.
