Is it legal to have an alligator in nc?

i allready have everything ready giant fish tank, food, everything just wondering if it is legal

is it the size of a pool? do you know how big alligators get?

they can get to be 12 feet long, that's bigger than you.

an alligator is a wild and VERY aggreesive creature, which (in turn with crocs) consume more human lives than any other animal on earth. now that may SOUND cool, but what you are thinking is far from cool. it's animal cruelty, unless you are creating some knd of reserve for this animal, let it live in the wild where it is better off without you.

get a snake or a monitor or something, they are still awesome, AND how you house it will still be adequate for them to live almost happily.

Yes it is a wild animal.  They need space and are very temper mental.  Try something else that does not require being in a small confined area.

I'm not sure if it illegal but it is a very bad idea. Alligator are amazing animals but horrible pets. They take a lot of time and money to take care of. They are also incredibly dangerous. Even in zoos keepers never go in an enclosure with gators by themselves, they are wild animals and unpredictable.

Hey ya is the fish tank more than 15 ft in length?  If so then you have enough space to keep them.  Alligators grow a foot a year and have enough strength to bite through a human finger.  Alligators belong in the wild not as a pet.  They never get domesticated and can be very dangerous!  Consider that before you go and find a alligator to adopt!
