Is it legal to have blue lights shining on the license plate in the trunk of a car?

The bulbs are not visible because the are behind the trim and shine on plate only.

  1. Ohio Law states, "Either a tail light or a separate light shall be so constructed and placed as to illuminate with a white light the rear registration plate, when such registration plate is required, and render it legible from a distance of fifty feet to the rear."  I would assume that other states have similar wordings and that illumination from any color than white would be an offense.


  2. its legal but somestimes cops can say well "hey its a distraction" u wont get a ticket for it

    and if u do

    u just go to court and told them that u took it out , and ur fine. :D

  3. Not in Ma. no blue lites of any kind are allowed on the car.

  4. If you can clearly see you license plate and the light isn't flashing i think it's legal. The worst that can happen is you get a warning.
