Is it legal to install a Canadian satellite dish in our US located cabin to bring in Canadian TV stations.?

I wouldn't see what the big deal would be.  As long as it works, that's all that matters.

What would be illegal about it?  We pick up international satellites all the time.  If a satcaster didn't want people seeing their signal, they would scramble it.  So, as long as you don't sell tickets to it, enjoy.

I don't think that the US would have a problem with that. Check with your Canadian supplier (anonymously, if you're concerned) to see if they would object.
