Is it legal to jump off tower bridge?

i want to know if its legal or illegal to jump off tower bridge in London and fall in to the river teams

illegal, dangerous and selfish...some1 could dive in to save u and end up dying themself...and u could be OK...i dont think you'd want that on ur conscience for the rest of ur life.

Strangely enough it is illegal.

When Tower Bridge was first opened, the public were allowed to walk across the river on the walkway joining the top of the two towers. But it became, first, that "dares" were made to jump off into the Thames. Nobody survived because below the bridge, the Thames has a thick layer of mud into which each jumper inevitably engulfed. So, it then became a favourite location for suicides. (At the time, to attempt a suicide was illegal, so any sure fire way of success was sought after!)

So to combat this, the Bridge Authority closed the upper walkway and made it illegal (by a local bye-law) to jump off the bridge from the roadway.

Not that this makes much diffference. Even jumping off the roadway is usually sufficent to end up embalmed in river mud for eternity!

Why would anyone want to jump off Tower bridge ? are you mad ? you would probably kill yourself or if you survived you would certainly get yourself arrested because it is defiantly illegal to do it.On top of all this ,who in their right mind would want to land in the river Thames ? it is a sewer of a river and it would probably poison you .
