I only plan to drive in the state where I live (NY), not the state where I'm buying it (NJ, CONN)

  1. Sure, as long as the lease company or finance company that you leased from in NJ also has a license to do business in NY. Unless it's a small local bank or lease company, there would be no problem.

However, your lease company must be notified of where you will "garage" the car, which is usually where you live and receive your monthly statements. This will determine which state's sales tax will be applied to your monthly payments.

  2. No, the money towards the lease goes to one central location.

  3. sure. No different thatan buying in another state. You just fill out the paperwork and everything.
