Is it legal to move your pivot foot in a circular motion?

In the post, you'll do lots of turning around and doing post moves. So if you don't actually lift your pivot foot but just change its direction, is it legal? And to be more specific, I mean if you move your pivot foot in a circular motion, it won't count as a step right?

look at rasheed wallace and kevin garnett. They sometimes move their pivot foot in a circular motion when posting up.

yes its perfectly legal. if you didnt turn your pivot foot, you would probably end up twisting your ankle

You Can Do Anything With It As Long As You Don't Lift It Up

That's why it's called the pivot foot. It allows you to plant that foot and rotate around it 360 degrees.
