Is it legal to own an AK-47?

I know it depends on where you live. You never know when an emergency will come around and you need to defend yourself, where is it legal to own an AK-47?

AR-15's are easier to license.

Full auto weapons - you need a federal liscense.

However you can get AK lookalikes (semi auto) at any sporting store - no liscense required. Cost between $250 and $350. *My wife found one she thinks is cute (its a smaller more femenine version lol).
