If I'm pulled over for a traffic stop, can I legally record the incident, including the officer, with a video camera or cellphone camera ? Do I have to turn it off if he requires it ?

  1. Even if it is legal, you can't be interfering with a police officer. If you are asked to turn it off or go away, DO IT.

  2. I found the site with the information you need.  It says that you need the consent of ALL parties involved.

  3. Every state is different. and I cant seem to find a link for you, but I do know that there are alot of states that you must acquire the permission of the person to record audio or video of them, including law enforcement. and vise versa.  call you local l.e. agency.
