  1. Check the laws for your state and the states you will be driving through. Not all state laws are the same.  Here in AZ you are not required to have the baby in the back - it is just safer...

  2. Turn the car seat around so the baby faces the actual seat, and if the uhaul has air bags turn them off.

  3. Ship the baby UPS

  4. U-Haul SAFETY RESTRAINTS

State laws require that children be restrained while in a vehicle. Smaller children and babies should always be restrained in an approved child or infant restraint.

Rear-facing infant seats should never be placed in the front seat of a vehicle equipped with a passenger-side air bag. A child may be seriously injured if an activated airbag strikes the child restraint.

  5. Andy T has it right.  Be sure the seat is strapped in facing the Rear of the truck and that you've disengaged the air bag.  I'd also suggest that you place the seat nearest the door (I'm assuming the truck has a "bench seat" and not bucket seats) rather than in the middle.

  6. Depends on the states you'll be passing through. Like another person said here, just buckle it in correctly, and drive safe.

  7. Just put your babies seat in the way it goes , buckle up and go.
