Is it legal to run Internet Buisness from London Council Flat?

After thought would I have to pay higher rates? There would be no stock and it will definately be above board.

  1. Yes, as long as you register the company with HM Revenue and Customs.  For clarification, you'd best contact your local Councillor or MP.  There will be Acts of Parliament of this issue and would be best to offer advice and assistance to you.


  2. This all depends on the type of buisness your running and if you meet the guidlines of the iternet through both sides of coarse ad if your not breaking the law or harm in any way or means to anyone!

  4. Is the flat rented from the Council still? You may find there is a clause in your tenancy agreement barring you from conducting a business from your home - be aware of that and make any declarations you need to to the appropriate office. The other considerations are covered by HM Revenues & Customs - if you are claiming part of the costs of heating, lighting, accommodation etc as business costs then you will have to declare these to the HMR&C.
