If a person sits on the grass in the park playing guitar can they put a tip jar out? How about a charicature artist or something like that?

  1. You don't PUT OUT A TIP JAR... you just leave your guitar case open.. that way, if someone want's to tip you, they just toss the money in the case so you are not actually ASKING for tips like you would be if you put out a tip jar... The only people who would put out an actual TIP JAR are real amateurs and their playing is probably on a par with their way of getting tips.

  2. Racheal_S165 is completely right. give her best answer.

  3. Performing in public for tips is called "busking", and different towns and cities have different local ordinances about it.  Some places freely allow busking; many others require buskers to obtain a license, and/or restrict them to performing only in certain designated areas; and some cities don't allow it at all anywhere and will arrest you (for panhandling or creating a public nuisance or whatever), for accepting tips in exchange for your performance.

Your best bet is to check with your local City Hall and find out what the local law is before you sit out in the park with your guitar collecting tips.

  4. i was gonna say what rachel said, but she hacked into my computer and jacked up my internet. that's how she got the answer up before me.
