Is it legal to smoke in pubs after they are closed to the public and nothing is being sold? I'm in the UK.

  1. Good question.... I had to look it up.  The answer is no.  It is illegal to smoke in a pub, even if its closed.  If the pub is going to open for business as usual in the future, you are not allowed to smoke inside.  This is because they are trying to control air quality, etc. in the building.  


  2. No it is not legal to smoke in a pub at any time. The little bit of homework I did on your question shows me that the only way smoking would be permitted in a pub after hours is if the owner lived in the building and claimed he was smoking in his own residence after hours.

    Good question tho!
