  1. Nope. How well would it stay there if you were involved in an accident?

  2. In most states it is illegal, why don't you just call your local police department and make sure.

  3. Not a good idea. I don't think its illegal if its attached securely. I would use a rack to make sure.

  4. Legal if it doesn't restrict your view when driving or block lights. And as others pointed out - don't let it fall down:-)

Drive more carefully avoid sharp manouvers and you'll be OK

  5. It is legeal. Not the smartest way to move but it is legal.

  6. The answer is, it depends on the State or States in which you plan to drive. I would check with the local authorities before this move; it could save you alot of aggravation not to mention tickets & fines.

In NY, where I work, it's frowned on, but as long as it doesn't: a) obstruct your vision out the front or back window, b) obstruct the lights on your vehicle, c) is properly secured and not capable of falling off, d) doesn't cause your vehicle to violate 1 of the dimension laws (particularly the width limit of 8') and e) you're not travelling on a parkway (where it's illegal to have protruding articles) - then you would be fine.

  7. NOT AS LONG AS YOU HAVE IT STRAPPED DOWN SECURE ENOUGH SO IT WILL NOT COME LOOSE AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.

  8. As long as it is secure and does not restrict the vision in/of your vehicle, you should not have any problems.
